Zisser and Murray

The strategy that I think is the most useful to peer review and going over my own work is constantly re-writing and editing that Murray mentioned in his essay. Usually most people will drag through a lengthy paper and feel the need to print and submit right away. Sometimes, they don't even want to reread it and make changes, I for one have that issue. This is a huge problem for writers or any person because they are focused only on the end result. Writing is a process with stages of editing and writing becomes more compact, straight to the point, and more advanced during the revision process. However, I disagree with Zisser's claim that clutter needs to be taken out entirely in all papers. Sometimes it is best to use short and compact words that get straight into the point. Other times, it is necessary to include more sophisticated words that are not just because of a thesaurus machine. There are words that explain a whole idea or meaning that need to be included. One never wants to have an excess amount of words, but including more advanced words is not always harmful.
